Fine Ceramics
A ceramic is a substance that was produced by the combination of metal elements such as silicon(Si), aluminum(Al), titanium(Ti), and zirconium(Zr) with oxygen(O), carbon(C), and nitrogen(N). The types and properties of ceramics differ depending on the combination of the elements and unit cell and they can be classified as "traditional ceramics" and "Fine Ceramics". Between them, "Fine Ceramics" is a material designed and manufactured for the special use and application which has superior properties in hardness, high temperature strength, wear resistance and chemical stability comparing to the other materials.
Oxide
Oxide refers to the material that the metal elements combined with oxygen. And Aluminum Oxide : Al2O3 (Alumina) and Zirconium Oxide : ZrO2 (Zirconia) are the typical oxides. These are the products by combining aluminum(Al) or zirconium(Zr) with oxygen(O) element, which has higher usability and better price competitiveness due to relatively lower sintering temperature and excellent processability.
